As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an ambitious and experienced Sales & Events Account Manager to join our office team in Tonbridge.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in sales and events who thrives on building relationships, converting enquiries into bookings and delivering an outstanding client experience.
You will manage your own portfolio of enquiries, confidently guide clients through the booking journey and play a key role in driving sales and supporting the continued growth of Sail & Peg.

The Role
As our Sales & Events Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the complete client journey, including:
Responding promptly to new sales enquiries via phone and email
Building strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
Understanding each client’s event requirements and recommending the most suitable marquee and hire solutions
Preparing detailed quotations and proposals
Proactively following up quotations to maximise conversion rates
Confidently negotiating and closing sales
Managing your own sales pipeline and maintaining accurate CRM records
Working closely with our operations team to ensure a seamless handover from booking to event delivery
Liaising with venues, suppliers and clients throughout the planning process
Delivering exceptional customer service from initial enquiry through to the final event
Identifying opportunities to upsell additional products and services
Supporting the achievement of sales targets and contributing to the continued growth of the business
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:
Proven experience in a sales, account management or business development role
Experience within the events industry, marquee hire, hospitality, venues or weddings
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence speaking with clients both over the phone and via email
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
The ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a busy office environment
A proactive, positive and solutions-focused attitude
Strong commercial awareness with a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
Confidence working independently while contributing positively to a close-knit team
